San Jose Earthquakes vs. Chivas USA
Chivas USA: Chivas USA have little to be cheerful about this week other than the fact that they return home for a match against a team that has struggled scoring as well. San Jose has been heavily reliant on Ike Opara for offense. This is a perfect opportunity for Chivas USA to regroup at home.
San Jose - Joe Cannon notched his first clean sheet of the season, but many thanks can be given to the Earthquakes defense for keeping the quick forwards of the Revolution in check. Oh, and Bobby Convey’s goal-line clearance on a corner. Coach Frank Yallop said it was the best the Quakes have looked since he returned to the team in 2008. Offensively, the Earthquakes are getting their chances, and putting them home, tallying seven goals in three games last week.
