Houston Dynamo vs. Chicago Fire

Geoff Cameron, Lovel Palmer and Dominic Oduro scored, and Pat Onstad posted his first shutout of the season, as the Houston Dynamo defeated Chivas USA 3-0 on Saturday at Robertson Stadium.
Cameron and Palmer handed Houston (2-1-1) a two-goal cushion inside 20 minutes and Oduro added the final goal 20 minutes after half. Onstad, who had 10 clean sheets last season, made six saves.
Chivas (1-3-0) was shut out for the third time in four matches this season.
Corey Ashe fired Houston's first scoring chance just wide of the right post in the 11th, but the Dynamo had success finding the net after that.
Ashe dropped off a pass to Cameron one minute later and Cameron picked out the bottom-left corner from 18 yards for his first goal of the season.

Palmer followed in the 20th with a spectacular goal into the top-right corner from nearly 40 yards for his first of the year.
Brad Davis set up Oduro for the final goal in the 65th with a great chip-pass, and Oduro just redirected the cross into an empty net from five yards for his first of the season.
Chivas goalkeeper Zach Thornton, who made his season debut with a shutout last week, made seven saves in the loss. Chivas has now failed to score in its last 802 minutes at Houston, which is nearly nine full games going back to 2006.
